Fabrics are available in a wide variety of textures, materials, and colors. They can be applied to thinner mats as well as liners. Additionally, they can be used as the backing in shadowboxes and pressure mounts.

Hand wrapped fabric mats

Incorporating fabric into a design can soften it while maintaining a sophisticated look. Fabric wrapped mats are usually used with works on paper that will be hung in intimate spaces. Think living rooms, offices, libraries and bedrooms.

Elevate with Gilding

Gilded mats are shown here under silk, linen and cotton. They tend to pair well with wood and gilded frames. Any fabric color can be used, and the gilding options are as diverse for mats as they are for frames.
